PUG POETRY COMPETITION 2011/ 2012

Are you the next budding Keats, or would you like to see yourself as a Shakespeare in the making?  If so, then read on and involve yourself in this new and exciting initiative.

Over many years, poems commemorating Pugs (many which were compiled and written by Margaret Cameron and other Pug Club members), have been published in past Newsletters.

The Pug Club of Gauteng's Committee hence thought it would be a novel idea to have a competition on writing Pug poems.

The format may be prose, poems or limericks.

Entries can be sent to the Secretary of the Pug Club of Gauteng on woovan@wbs.co.za.  Please remember to add your name, telephone number and e-mail address on your entry, as well as your age if you are younger than 16.

Judging will take place at the April 2012 show.  All entries will be put on a board and nominations will be forwarded by everyone who attends the show.  There will be prizes for the first three places and also prizes in the junior category.

All entries will be published in future Pug Club of Gauteng Newsletters.

There are no doubt lots of potential great poets out there, so start getting pen to paper, and send in your entries as soon as you can.  There is no limit to the amount of poems you wish to submit.
